Health and Safety in Transport and Logistics - RRC's Roundtable Report
The transport and logistics industry probably doesn’t spring to mind when considering high risk sectors; yet in 2007/08, transport, storage and communication had the highest rate of over-3-day injuries of any main industry group (1245.8 per 100,000 employers). With these issues in mind, RRC Training hosted a roundtable forum event, attended by delegates who hold key health and safety positions within the industry, with the aim of getting under the skin of what is driving health and safety policy and practice in this sector.

Health and Safety in the Construction Industry - RRC's Roundtable Report
In the past 10 years, health and safety in the construction sector has grown from being a sideline issue that was not taken too seriously, to a high profile concern. With the industry facing more changes and challenges than ever before in terms of health and safety, RRC thought it would be valuable to invite a number of health and safety managers and directors from some of the UK's top construction companies to discuss the issues affecting the industry today.

Managing Safety Survey
The Health and Safety Executive's 'Simplification Plan' is committed to making legislation easier to understand and apply, with the hope of securing stronger compliance from businesses as a result. The aim is to provide clearer and simpler advice and information.
RRC Training commissioned an independent research agency to conduct a survey on “Managing Safety” amongst H&S managers, the results of which are illuminating and will have implications for managers, directors, CEOs and anyone with responsibility for health and safety and personnel.
